Changing your Wild Apricot theme can be time-consuming and anxiety-provoking. Our team has a 3-step process which makes the switchover as hassle-free as possible!
Step 1: Planning the Redesign
We'll work with you to identify exactly what you're looking for out of the redesign. Have you changed your branding? Are you wanting to streamline your content? Do we need to construct clearer navigation? Are you wanting the new design to convey something different than your old design?
Step 2: Creating the New Look
Your assigned designer will then create a first pass mock-up of a new Home Page, plus 1-2 additional pages, for your review. We do not do this work on your live site, but rather we use a site that we maintain specifically for the purpose of making mock-ups for our clients.
The proposed designs will be edited as needed to make it perfect for you. Typically, within 1-2 rounds of edits, we've achieved a look that our clients are thrilled to implement.
Step 3: Switchover Day
Together, we'll select a day when you anticipate low traffic on the site.
On the chosen date, first thing in the morning, your designer will put up a temporary Home Page alerting website visitors that changes are in process… and then for the rest of the day, the designer will work as quickly as possible through every page on the site to apply the new design and rearrange content to ensure each page looks its best.
Our goal is to have the entire site switched over in one fell swoop on that day. You'll be provided with progress reports periodically throughout the day so that you can review what's been finished. Once we have all of the pages finished, the temporary Home page will be removed and your brand new beautiful site will be in place.
