If you are on my mailing list, you may have noticed that I mentioned a few weeks back that I have a big charity project brewing. I’m finally able to let you in on what’s happening and I am SO VERY EXCITED about how this has turned out! Mission and Magnetism: A Virtual Marketing Retreat.
Here’s the Short Version:
On Friday, June 15th, from 10 am – 3 pm, I’ll be facilitating a brand-new event called “Mission & Magnetism: An Interactive Marketing Workshop for Connectors, Cause Leaders & Community Gatherers”.
Workshop participants will come together via Webcast to gain inspiring new marketing ideas and make specific decisions around how we want to attract new people to our communities.
The ONLY way to gain access to the workshop is to make a donation (of any amount) to my 2018 designated charity – St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

How is this marketing workshop different?

Why isn't there a set fee for this workshop?
Honestly, I just want to try something different. I checked in with a few people and the idea seems to resonate, so I'm going with it. This is essentially my big give-back project for the year… and if it's successful, I hope to do more of these sorts of things in the future.
Why did you choose St. Jude Children's Research Hospital?
We have a St. Jude affiliate hospital here in Peoria, Illinois where I'm located, so I'm very familiar with their work. St. Jude has an audacious mission – pioneering treatments for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
While many people have heard of St. Jude, most people don't realize that NO FAMILY ever gets a bill from St. Jude – not for treatment, not for travel, not for housing, not for food. That’s because, while a child is being treated at St. Jude, all the family should have to worry about is helping their child live.
If you've ever had a loved one serious ill, you understand the stress that it places on a family. That’s why I wanted to do something where every single dime that was collected would go to this cause… not just a “portion” or a “percentage”.
How do I know the money is actually going to charity?

That way, you can be absolutely certain that 100% of your donation is going to the charity. You'll even receive a donation receipt directly from them.
When you make your donation on that page, I will get notification and I’ll add you to the list of approved attendees for the June 15th workshop.
Is there a minimum donation required?
I am not setting a minimum donation. Simply give as you feel able. There are a few suggested levels on the page, but you can also type in a custom amount.
Please note that the donation page is not connected to my systems in any way, so it will be a manual process for me to add you to the workshop attendee list… it’s not something that happens automatically. If you have NOT heard from me with details within a day or so, please don’t hesitate to reach out and I’ll get it sorted for you.
What if I can't make it on June 15th? Or if I can only make it for part of the day?
There will be a recording available for everything that happens and you’ll also get copies of all materials distributed for the workshop components.
Can I give anonymously?
Yes, you have a couple of options when you go through the donation process. You can simply choose to not be listed on the website. Or you can give completely anonymously, but if you do that, you'll need to email me a copy of your donation receipt so that I can provide your access info for the workshop. Will this workshop be offered again?
This is the ONLY time that you will have the opportunity to participate in this unique marketing workshop in exchange for a you-set-the-amount donation. If offered again, it will be a PAID program.
Is there any type of “Money-Back Guarantee” on this workshop?
I am providing the workshop to you for free as a thank you for making a donation, so there are no refunds. Hopefully, if you've been a member of my community for any length of time, you've seen how I try to provide consistently deliver value in everything I do. You can fully expect the same from this event.
