Here in Illinois, the Christmas Tree has been put away, the holiday goodies have all been eaten, and a fresh new year lies ahead. While 2020 definitely brought challenges, it was also brimming with the opportunity to be of service to you in new ways.

Today, I thought I’d highlight just two small pieces of awesomeness that are rolling out this month.

New Podcast Series + Free Training: Transform Your Board in 90 Days

First up, starting next week, you’ll be able to catch a new collaborative content series that I’m producing with Sean Kosofsky, “The Nonprofit Fixer”, focused on board development.

You’ll definitely want to tune in for this topic if you’ve ever wished that you had a board that:

  • Effectively raises money and pays staff what they’re worth
  • Stays in their land and doesn’t micromanage
  • Runs awesome meetings that get results

On the podcast, you’ll hear from several leaders who have made board development a priority within their organizations. They’ve openly shared the results of their work and the lessons that they learned along the way.

Then, on January 29th, we’ll cap the series off with one of Sean’s highest-rated training topics, “Transform Your Board in 90 Days with My 3-Part System”.

The Joy of Membership’s Member Care Software Roll-Out – Yes, Software!  

Over the past few years, as I’ve led programs focused on Member Experience Design, I’ve seen how difficult it can be for organizations to put the principles of exceptional member care into practice.

  • Websites that are too hard to quickly change, so they stay stagnant;
  • Membership plugins that are transactional rather than relational;
  • Chapters struggling to grow because they depend on volunteers and don’t have the same tech or staff support that the parent organization has;
  • Contact databases that can’t parse out enough detail for you to truly personalize a membership experience;
  • And the list could go on-and-on-and-on.

That’s why I decided to roll-out a software platform that is designed specifically to support a high-value member experience and helps you take exceptional care of your members – from first contact through renewal.

Still, I know that no one needs yet another software product, even if it’s an amazingly awesome software, so The Joy of Membership software is going to come with everything that you need to successfully build an effective member care program – member care trainings, templates and campaigns built around best practices, and tech support that isn’t just “techy” but actually understands what it takes to do member care in the real world.
